Monterey Peninsula Home Team Moves to Keller Williams

Pacific Grove, CA, March 15, 2016 -- One of the Monterey Peninsula’s oldest and most respected commercial and residential agencies is tapping into the resources of one of the most successful real estate companies in the world. The Monterey Peninsula Home Team, processing tens of millions of dollars worth of commercial and residential property every month, is merging their residential and commercial businesses with Keller Williams Realty, Inc. The move comes as real estate on the Central Coast continues its steady climb upwards, out of the slump caused by the financial crisis and the Great Recession that followed.

Typically, top agents for a realty company don’t move. It’s too much work, the logistics are difficult at best, and there’s not enough to be gained to make the move worthwhile. But effective immediately, the Monterey Peninsula Home Team—including Lynda Nichols, Jeff Davi, Mark Bruno, Anthony Davi, and Linda Dorris and their entire support staff—are doing just that in order to take advantage of Keller Williams’ innovative technology, growth opportunities, and world-leading training.

According to Lynda Nichols, President of the Home Team who has been representing clients on the Monterey Peninsula for more than 40 years, “This is a big decision, and one we did not take lightly. We are very excited about the Keller Williams culture, what they’ve accomplished and where they’re going. Our ability to access their technology and their scale is a win-win for our agency and clients alike.”

The Monterey Peninsula Home Team is not an ordinary real estate team. Members of the Home Team are all long time residents of the Peninsula, with collectively more than 100 years experience. And one of them, Jeff Davi, is a former real estate Commissioner for the state of California. Nor is Keller Williams the typical parent company. At the forefront of innovations in technology, tools, training and team culture, it is the largest such company in the world by agent count, with more than 135,000, and 750 offices with international reach on four continents. Even more impressive, the company has been recognized as the #1 training organization across all industries. That capability spells growth opportunities for the Home Team’s young agents and veterans alike.

“It’s a marriage made in heaven,” said Mark Vonkaenel, Operating Principal for Keller Williams. “We believe adding an agency as experienced and respected as the MPHT to our Keller Williams family is a significant statement, and we expect everyone—clients, agents and the communities we serve—to benefit from this synergy.”  And Mark Bruno added, “our clients still have the same MPHT with all the local experience clients come to expect, but now with the added syndicated listings to a much broader network.”

Keller Williams will also expand their footprint in the area by renovating and expanding their existing Carmel Valley and Los Gatos offices. The MPHT/Keller Williams will continue to operate out of their offices in Pacific Grove at 501 Lighthouse. For more information, visit:
