Today, 95% of home buyers begin their search online. That means you only have one chance to make a great first impression, and photographs of your listing will matter.
The quality of the photographs people see online may be the most important factor in how well you promote your home.
You need photos that make buyers want to see your home in person.
”High dynamic range (HDR) photography has come a long way. It allows us to shoot in a variety of lighting environments and make interiors look excellent. It allows us to capture views through windows clearly, without losing light in the interior. This is critical, especially when shooting properties with great views as a significant selling point.
Often, you’ll see a photo of a window in which the view is washed out, or conversely, the view is okay, but the interior is dark. With HDR, we can create a balanced lighting environment and capture both.
We often hear that the pictures are almost nicer than the actual house. Those are the kinds of pictures you want. You want people to want to see your house in person. That’s the kind of great first impression that professional photography makes.
Be sure that you hire an agent who takes professional photographs. Don’t hire someone who will just drive by one day and snap some photos with their phone. That is a huge pet peeve of ours.
We hire professional photographers but if we don’t like their photographs, I will go out and reshoot the house myself. We spend about two days making sure that the pictures are great because pictures are very important.
If you have any questions about the quality of professional photography we provide our sellers or if you have any other questions about buying or selling a property, just give us a call or send us an email. We would be happy to help you!
